Biography

Born in Treviso, architect, since childhood her approach to drawing and painting has been encouraged and influenced by her parents.
At the age of six, she won her first competition organized by the Province of Treviso and devoted herself assiduously to drawing and comics until her mature years.
After attending prestigious courses at the International School of Illustration for Children in Sarmede (under the guidance of master Indra Capek), she collaborated with institutions on various graphic projects.

Biography

In the very first years of university (Faculty of Architecture of Venice) she discovered her love for oil and watercolor painting, initially under the guidance of painter Giò Ferrante. With her husband and four children, she moved to Brazil for several years, developing experiences and sensibilities that encouraged her dedication to painting. Today Betty lives and works in her hometown, but the memory of her Brazilian experience clearly prevails in her work, inspiring its themes and colors.

Biography

The artist expresses herself mainly through oil painting and watercolor, favoring formal subjects and landscape settings to which she entrusts the task of expressing, through recurring symbolisms, her rich emotional experience. Her works are characterized by vivid, transparent, almost liquid colors, and distinctive drippings that the artist exploits and controls with mastery.

Biography

The landscape (especially tropical) is used as a pretext to convey metaphors dear to the artist, so that the inevitable and almost transparent human subjects depicted are immersed in fantastic, dreamlike atmospheres: here the figures creep silently and wander only apparently without a precise role, always attracting the viewer's gaze.
The artist's works have been exhibited in many national and international solo and group exhibitions, receiving appreciation, recognition and prestigious awards.
